Abstract
This study focuses on the development of an Android-based Point of Sale (POS) application for Toko Ada, a retail store located in Batang, Central Java, Indonesia. Since its establishment in 2022, Toko Ada has faced operational challenges due to manual processes in recording sales and managing inventory, resulting in inefficiencies and frequent errors. To address these issues, the study proposes the implementation of a modern POS system integrated with a payment gateway to enhance transaction efficiency and improve customer experience. A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, and literature review to gather relevant data. The system development followed the waterfall model, encompassing analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases. The results demonstrate that the developed system features a user-friendly interface, effective transaction and inventory management tools, and functionality that aligns with user requirements, as confirmed through testing. This study concludes that an Android-based POS system significantly improves the operational efficiency of Toko Ada. Keywords: Android, POS, Payment Gateway, Waterfall
