Abstract

Managing application systems for building material stores presents unique challenges, particularly due to the lack of internal system integration, minimal automation in inventory control, and limited connectivity with customers. This study aims to design and develop a REST API-based system to enhance the operational efficiency of Jendral Muda Building Materials Store Boyolali. The approach involves a systematic analysis of system requirements and the development of a RESTful API encompassing key features such as inventory management, ordering, payment processing, and shipment tracking. The system is designed to integrate all operational processes into a seamless and automated workflow. The implementation results indicate a marked improvement in inventory handling, a reduction in data entry errors, and a faster transaction process. Integration with e-commerce services and the WhatsApp gateway strengthens digital connectivity with customers, enabling real-time order tracking and improving customer satisfaction. Furthermore, transaction transparency enhances the overall user experience. This research concludes that a REST API-based system provides an effective solution for streamlining the operations of a building material store, improving work efficiency, and reinforcing digital engagement with consumers.
