Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an Android-based sales information system for Toko Roti Asli Yogyakarta, with the primary goal of enhancing the efficiency of transaction recording and product data management. Prior to the system's implementation, the bakery relied on manual processes that were prone to human error and inefficiency. The system adopts a client-server architecture, with the Android mobile application serving as the client-side interface and a web-based backend server handling data operations. The mobile application is built using the Dart programming language within the Flutter framework, an open-source UI toolkit by Google, enabling the development of responsive and interactive cross-platform mobile interfaces. This application allows users to browse products, manage shopping carts, and conduct transactions swiftly and intuitively. On the backend, the system employs PHP and the Laravel framework to manage business logic and serve as the API provider for seamless interaction with the Flutter application. Data persistence is handled through a MySQL database, storing transactions, product inventories, and other key information. Communication between the client and server is facilitated via JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), ensuring lightweight, fast, and secure data exchange. The results demonstrate that the implementation of this system significantly improves operational efficiency through real-time automation of transaction logging and inventory control. Additionally, graphical transaction reports enhance managerial insight into sales performance. Overall, the integration of Flutter and Laravel technologies presents a robust and scalable informatics solution to address critical business challenges in retail sales management.
