Abstract

Laterite mining is an activity involving the extraction of red rock or red deposits formed from the weathering of various rock types. In operating a laterite mining business, numerous essential resources are required, including transportation equipment, fuel, and employee provisions. Accurate inventory recording is crucial to avoid the risk of asset loss. However, many companies still rely on conventional inventory systems using physical logbooks, which are prone to damage due to human error or environmental factors—such as torn or water-damaged pages in the mining area. To address these challenges, this study presents the design and development of a mobile-based inventory management application that ensures secure and efficient data recording. The research was conducted based on the existing problems at CV. Anugrah Seruyan Raya, located in Central Kalimantan. The application was developed using the User-Centered Design (UCD) methodology, which emphasizes user needs in each development stage. React Native was used for application programming, with MongoDB as the database. The resulting application successfully enhances the efficiency and security of inventory data, minimizing the risk of data loss or damage and improving operational reliability in the mining sector.
