Abstract
Junior High School of Islam Zainul Huda Duko, established in 2015 and operating under the supervision of the Zainul Huda Islamic Boarding School in the Kangean Islands, Sumenep Regency, East Java Province, continues to implement the 2013 curriculum with three active classrooms: Grades VII, VIII, and IX. The current attendance system involves manual recording for each class session, with student names called out and marked in an attendance logbook. This conventional method frequently results in issues such as data loss, recording errors, and delays in report generation. To address these inefficiencies, this study proposes the development of a web-mobile-based student attendance system utilizing QR Code technology and the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern. The system enables students to scan a QR Code to record their attendance, with data automatically stored in a centralized database. The application supports three types of users: administrators, teachers, and students. While admins and teachers access the system via a web interface, students use a mobile application. The resulting system demonstrates a functional and streamlined solution for automating attendance processes at Junior High School of Islam Zainul Huda Duko, enhancing accuracy, accessibility, and administrative efficiency. Keywords: Student Attendance, Web, Mobile, QR Code, Model-View-Controller (MVC).
