Abstract

Information is a fundamental necessity for every individual, especially when it concerns confidential content. To ensure such information remains secure and inaccessible to unauthorized parties, specialized techniques are required. One widely used method is cryptography—a technique for encoding messages to ensure confidentiality and integrity. This study aims to develop a web-based application that secures sensitive data using the RSA (Rivest–Shamir–Adleman) algorithm. RSA is an asymmetric cryptographic algorithm that enables encryption of messages, rendering them unreadable to those lacking the appropriate decryption key. The encryption process transforms the original message into an unintelligible format, which can only be reverted to its original form through decryption using a specific private key. The results of this research are embodied in an effective and reliable application capable of encrypting and decrypting documents using RSA, thereby enhancing data security and protecting the confidentiality of student grade records from unauthorized access.
