Abstract
This study deals with the figurative language analysis and poetic aspects of figurative language in selected Nicole album song lyrics. The objective of the study is to identify the types of figurative language found in selected Nicole album song lyrics, and types of poetic aspect of figurative language in selected Nicole album song lyrics. The researcher uses a descriptive qualitative in this study. The data of research were taken from NIKI song lyrics in selected Nicole album; the researcher found several findings of figurative language. There are nine types of figures of speech found in this song, there are hyperbole, metaphor, personification, symbolism, paradox, simile, apostrophe, synecdoche, irony. There are two poetic aspects that is used in selected Nicole album by NIKI song lyrics, they are imagery, and tone. The most figurative language that is used in selected Nicole album by NIKI song lyrics are hyperbole, metaphor, personification. The most poetic aspect that is used in selected Nicole album by NIKI song lyrics is tone.
