Abstract

ABSTRACT The rapidly growing tourism industry in Yogyakarta necessitates that businesses implement an efficient and accurate financial management system. Moliya Tour, a tour service provider, currently relies on manual recording methods, which lead to various challenges, including recording errors, difficulties in tracking transactions, and delays in generating financial reports. This research aims to design and implement an Android-based accounting ledger application using the Kotlin programming language and the Firebase Firestore database. The developed application offers features for recording transactions, categorizing accounting accounts, and automatically preparing reports. The research methodology encompasses system analysis, system design utilizing UML, ERD, and DFD, system implementation, and testing through both black-box and questionnaire methods. The results indicate that the developed application successfully enhances efficiency and accuracy in the financial management of Moliya Tour and is user-friendly for individuals without an accounting background.
