Abstract

KSP Utama Karya currently employs a manual attendance system that relies on signatures on attendance sheets. This method presents several challenges, including the potential for fraud, such as falsified attendance records, difficulties in summarizing attendance data, and slow reporting processes, all of which negatively impact the effectiveness of employee monitoring. To address these issues, this research aims to develop an Android-based attendance information system utilizing QR Code technology and location validation. This system enables employees to clock in and out by scanning a QR Code configured by the administrator, which can only be used at designated locations. Additionally, the system offers features for digital permissions, sick leave, and leave requests, enhancing administrative efficiency. Implementation results indicate that the system enhances the accuracy of attendance data, reduces the potential for fraud, and streamlines the permit application process and data compilation for administrators.
