Abstract

Konseling individu merupakan salah satu bantuan dalam bimbingan dan konseling yang bertujuan membantu konseli menyelesaikan masalah secara personal. Di Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPA) Yaumig, Yogyakarta, ditemukan kasus demotivasi belajar santri yang mengakibatkan penurunan kehadiran hingga 75% sehingga pembelajaran menjadi tidak kondusif. Kondisi yang sangat mengkhawatirkan ini membuat wali kelas tergerak membantu supaya permasalahan segera teratasi. Wali kelas melakukan pendekatan konseling individu untuk mengatasi demotivasi belajar yang dialami santri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan faktor demotivasi belajar santri serta melihat pendekatan konseling individu yang dilakukan wali kelas dalam mengatasi masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : Pertama, bentuk demotivasi belajar santri meliputi sulit berkonsentrasi, minat belajar yang terbatas, kelelahan fisik yang sering, mudah menyerah, dan keyakinan diri yang lemah. Kedua, faktor demotivasi belajar santri berasal dari karakter wali kelas, peran aktif wali kelas, pertemanan, dan keterlibatan orang tua. Ketiga, pendekatan konseling individu wali kelas dalam mengatasi demotivasi belajar santri mengindikasikan perubahan positif pada santri, keterbukaan dalam komunikasi, adanya umpan balik yang diberikan kepada wali kelas, dan peningkatan motivasi belajar. Terjawabnya tiga pertanyaan di atas maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya yang dilakukan wali kelas mengatasi demotivasi belajar pada santri TPA Yaumig berhasil dilakukan. Adapun saran yang diajukan bagi pengajar TPA supaya diadakan pembekalan baik pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai konseling sesuai batasan aturan. Orang tua juga disarankan untuk berkolaborasi dengan pengajar TPA agar perkembangan santri lebih maksimal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pada peneliti selanjutnya untuk melakukan perluasan cakupan penelitian. Hal ini dikarenakan penelitian ini hanya terbatas pada satu tempat yaitu TPA Yaumig saja. Disarankan pula menggunakan metode penelitian yang berbeda supaya lebih mengeksplorasi terkait permasalahan serupa. Individual counseling is one form of guidance and counseling assistance aimed at helping clients resolve personal issues. At the Al-Qur'an Education Park (TPA) Yaumig in Yogyakarta, a case of student demotivation was identified, leading to a 75% drop in attendance and rendering the learning environment unfavorable. This highly concerning situation prompted the class advisor to take action to address the issue promptly. The class advisor employed individual counseling approaches to address the students' learning demotivation. This study aims to describe the forms and factors of students' learning demotivation and examine the individual counseling approaches implemented by the class advisor in addressing the issue. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results of the study indicate that: First, the forms of learning demotivation among students include difficulty concentrating, limited interest in learning, frequent physical fatigue, easily giving up, and low self-confidence. Second, the factors contributing to learning demotivation among students stem from the character of the class advisor, the active role of the class advisor, peer relationships, and parental involvement. Third, the individual counseling approach of the homeroom teacher in addressing student learning demotivation indicates positive changes in students, openness in communication, feedback provided to the homeroom teacher, and increased learning motivation. The answers to the three questions above lead to the conclusion that the efforts made by the homeroom teacher to address learning demotivation among students at TPA Yaumig were successful. The recommendations proposed for TPA teachers are to conduct training on counseling knowledge and skills within the boundaries of regulations. Parents are also advised to collaborate with TPA teachers to maximize student development. This study recommends that future researchers expand the scope of the research. This is because the study was limited to a single location, namely TPA Yaumig. It is also suggested to use different research methods to further explore similar issues.
