Abstract

Layanan konseling individu memiliki peran penting dalam membantu siswa mengatasi masalah pribadi, sosial, dan akademik. Pada saat pra lapangan peneliti menemukan fakta bahwa siswa kurang menunjukan minat mengikuti layanan konseling individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab tiga rumusan masalah, yaitu: (1) bagaimana persepsi siswa tentang peran guru BK di sekolah. (2) bagaimana tingkat minat siswa dalam mengikuti layanan konseling individu dan (3) apakah persepsi siswa tentang peran guru BK mempengaruhi minat siswa dalam mengikuti layanan konseling individu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei dan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Sampel terdiri dari 189 siswa kelas X yang dipilih melalui teknik random sampling menggunakan rumus Slovin. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket skala Likert dengan 17 item untuk variabel persepsi dan 18 item untuk variabel minat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persepsi siswa terhadap guru BK, di antaranya guru BK dipersepsi sebagai pendengar yang empatik, pendamping dalam menyelesaikan masalah, fasilitator yang membantu siswa memahami diri, sebagian memiliki persepsi positif, namun ada pula yang masih memandang guru BK hanya sebagai penegak kedisiplinan disekolah. (2) tingkat minat siswa dalam mengikuti layanan konseling individu mayoritas berada dalam kategori sedang (sebesar 83,77%), dan sisanya berada pada kategori tinggi (16,23%). (3) terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara persepsi siswa tentang peran guru BK dengan minat mengikuti layanan konseling individu, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (< 0,05) dan R Square sebesar 0,610. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap peran guru BK berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat mengikuti layanan konseling individu, khususnya sebagai pendengar yang empatik dan pendamping yang menciptakan rasa aman, dan tingkat minat siswa mengikuti layanan konseling individu berada pada kategori sedang. Oleh karena itu, membangun persepsi positif terhadap guru BK menjadi langkah penting untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa. Individual counseling services play an important role in helping students overcome personal, social, and academic problems. During the pre-field observation, the researcher found that students showed a lack of interest in participating in individual counseling services. This study aims to answer three research questions: (1) what are students’ perceptions of the role of Guidance and Counseling (GC) teachers at school; (2) what is the level of students’ interest in participating in individual counseling services; and (3) does students’ perception of the GC teacher’s role influence their interest in participating in individual counseling. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method and simple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 189 tenth-grade students selected using random sampling with the Slovin formula. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire with 17 items for the perception variable and 18 items for the interest variable. The results showed that: (1) students’ perceptions of GC teachers included viewing them as empathetic listeners, companions in solving problems, and facilitators in helping students understand themselves. Some students held positive perceptions, while others still saw GC teachers mainly as school disciplinarians. (2) The level of student interest in participating in individual counseling services was mostly in the moderate category (83.77%), with the remaining 16.23% in the high category. (3) There was a significant influence between students’ perceptions of the role of GC teachers and their interest in individual counseling, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and an R Square of 0.610. It can be concluded that students' perceptions of the role of GC teachers significantly affect their interest in individual counseling services, particularly when teachers are seen as empathetic listeners and supportive companions who create a sense of safety. Overall, students' interest in individual counseling falls within the moderate category. Therefore, building a positive perception of GC teachers is an important step in increasing student participation.
