Abstract
Siswa SMK menjadi lulusan tertinggi angka pengangguran di Indonesia tahun 2024 menurut BPS yaitu sebesar 9,01%, hal ini bisa disebabkan oleh adanya masalah dalam proses belajar di sekolah. Berdasarkan temuan dari hasil AKPD siswa kelas XI SMKN 1 Tempel, ditemukan terdapat masalah belajar dan karir yaitu sebanyak 2,86% siswa merasa malas belajar dan sebanyak 1,16% siswa belum memiliki perencanaan karir masa depan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana motivasi belajar dan perencanaan karir studi lanjut siswa SMK, serta untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan perencanaan karir studi lanjut siswa di SMK. Penelitian menggunakan metode pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional, guna mengetahui korelasi antara dua variabel, yaitu motivasi belajar dan perencanaan karir studi lanjut siswa. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 360 siswa kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Tempel, teknik sampling menggunakan stratified random sampling dan didapatkan sampel sebanyak 140 siswa berdasarkan rumus Slovin dengan margin of error 5%. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan koesioner skala Likert yang disebarkan melalui Google Form untuk mengukur kedua variabel dalam berbagai dimensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan motivasi belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata 66,68 serta kondisi perencanaan karir studi lanjut siswa berada pada kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata 69,74. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis korelasi Pearson dari dua variabel adalah 0,000 > 0,05 dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,587, maka dapat diartikan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan perencanaan karir studi lanjut siswa di SMK. Hubungan tersebut cukup kuat dan bersifat positif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa, maka semakin baik pula perencanaan karir studi lanjut siswa. Penelitian ini hanya menyoroti dua variabel, sehingga disarankan untuk mengembangkan variabel lain yang juga bisa mempengaruhi perencanaan karir studi lanjut siswa. Peneliti selanjutnya juga dapat menggunakan metode yang lain supaya mendapatkan gambaran mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perencanaan karir studi lanjut secara lebih mendalam. Vocational high school students have the highest unemployment rate in Indonesia in 2024, according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), at 9.01%. This may be due to problems in the learning process at school. Based on findings from the AKPD survey of 11th-grade students at SMKN 1 Tempel, it was found that there are learning and career-related issues, with 2.86% of students feeling unmotivated to study and 1.16% of students not having a future career plan. This study aims to determine the learning motivation and career planning of vocational high school students, as well as to identify the relationship between learning motivation and career planning among vocational high school students. The study uses a quantitative correlational approach to determine the correlation between two variables, namely learning motivation and career planning among vocational high school students. The study population consisted of 360 students in the 11th grade at SMK Negeri 1 Tempel. Purposive sampling was used to select two relevant departments with a total of 216 students, the sampling technique used stratified random sampling and obtained a sample of 140 students based on the Slovin formula with a margin of error of 5%. Data collection was conducted using a Likert scale questionnaire distributed via Google Form to measure both variables across various dimensions. The research results showed that students' learning motivation was in the moderate category with an average score of 66.68, and the condition of students' career planning for further studies was also in the moderate category with an average score of 69.74. The results of the hypothesis test using Pearson's correlation analysis of the two variables were 0.000 > 0.05 with a correlation coefficient of 0.587, indicating that there is a relationship between learning motivation and career planning for further studies among students at vocational high schools. This relationship is quite strong and positive. It can be concluded that the higher the students' learning motivation, the better their career planning for further studies. This study only focuses on two variables, so it is recommended to develop other variables that may also influence students' career planning for further studies. Future researchers may also use other methods to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing career planning for further studies.
