Abstract
DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING A WEB-BASED EMPLOYEE PRESENCE INFORMATION SYSTEM (Case Study: Ion Grafika Printing, Baturetno, Yogyakarta) Khusnul Khotimah, Aditya Permana Wibowo Program Studi Sistem Informasi, Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi Unversitas Teknologi Yogyakarta Jl. Ringroad Utara, Jombor, Sleman, Yogyakarta Email: [email protected], [email protected] ABSTRACT The employee attendance information system is a crucial component in enhancing the effectiveness of human resource management within government agencies. At the Grobogan Regency Office, recording employee attendance continues to pose challenges related to data accuracy, administrative efficiency, and the risk of attendance fraud. Therefore, this research aims to design and implement an employee attendance information system that improves accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in attendance recording by leveraging the latest technology. The system development method employed in this study is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system was developed by integrating geolocation technology, ensuring attendance at a predetermined work location. Additionally, the system features a user-friendly interface to facilitate easy access and management of attendance data for both employees and administrators. Implementation results demonstrate that the developed attendance information system enhances the accuracy of attendance records, reduces administrative processing time, and produces more transparent and accountable attendance reports. Consequently, this system represents an effective, modern solution for employee attendance management and can serve as a model for attendance management systems.
