Abstract
ABSTRACT The development of information technology and the internet has significantly impacted various aspects of life, including education. An Academic Information System (AIS) offers an effective solution for managing academic information within educational institutions. This study aims to design and implement a web-based AIS for SMA N 1 Karangmojo. The research employs an information systems development approach encompassing needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. During the needs analysis phase, the system identifies and manages essential academic data, such as student records, subject information, grades, and teacher data. Additionally, it supports the functions required by users, including students, teachers, and administrators. By implementing this web-based AIS, SMA N 1 Karangmojo is expected to benefit from more efficient academic information management. The system is expected to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of academic administrative processes, improve collaboration between students and teachers, and provide all users with quick, easy access to academic information.
