Abstract

Ringroad Utara Jombor Sleman Yogyakarta Email: [email protected], [email protected] ABSTRACT The development of information technology has significantly enhanced the quality of library management in higher education institutions. However, the Proclamation 45 University Library in Yogyakarta still relies on a spreadsheet-based system that lacks standardized book coding and lacks a digital repository for storing students’ academic papers. This situation leads to inefficient, fragmented processes for searching, identifying, managing, and archiving academic papers. This research aims to develop an integrated web-based Library Information System and Repository. The system is designed to apply the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) to manage book collections, record loan and return transactions, and provide a digital repository for student academic papers. The research methodology includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The analysis identifies user requirements, followed by database and system interface design, and the implementation of a web-based system that undergoes functional testing. The results demonstrate that the developed system improves the efficiency of library data management, accelerates book collection searches and identification, provides structured transaction reports, and facilitates the storage and access of student academic papers.
