Abstract

ABSTRACT Advances in information technology during the digital era have driven transformation across various sectors, including the fitness industry. A chain gym in Klaten faces challenges managing membership data and services, which are still handled manually and separately, leading to inefficiencies in class registration, fitness monitoring, and member information management. To address these issues, this study developed an Android application called FitSphere, built with Kotlin and using Firebase as the backend, to create an integrated membership management system. The development process employed the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, encompassing requirements planning, UML-based system design, construction, and a cutover phase that includes testing and implementation. FitSphere offers key features such as member registration, gym news, membership subscriptions, consultations, workout history, class registration, and a BMI calculator. Black Box Testing results demonstrated a 100% success rate, indicating that all features functioned properly. This application improves operational efficiency, facilitates member access to services, and provides management with deeper insights into user needs. Overall, FitSphere is an effective digital solution for enhancing the chain gym’s competitiveness in the modern fitness industry. Keywords: FitSphere, Mobile, Kotlin, Firebase, Members, Operational
