Abstract
Pulau Lombok merupakan wilayah yang memiliki tingkat kerentanan bencana yang tinggi karena berada di antara dua sumber gempa utama, yaitu zona subduksi lempeng Indo-Australia di selatan serta Sesar Naik Flores di utara, sehingga sering mengalami aktivitas seismik yang signifikan. Selain potensi gempa bumi, Pulau Lombok juga memiliki Gunung Rinjani yang merupakan gunung api aktif dan berpotensi mengalami erupsi, serta menghadapi risiko banjir dan tanah longsor ketika curah hujan meningkat. Di tengah kondisi geografis dan geologis yang rawan ini, kapasitas sumber daya manusia dalam hal teknis perencanaan dan penanggulangan bencana masih tergolong rendah, sehingga menambah urgensi pembangunan fasilitas edukasi dan mitigasi bencana. Melalui pendekatan arsitektur berkelanjutan, bangunan dirancang agar efisien dalam penggunaan energi dan material, ramah lingkungan, serta memiliki ketahanan struktural yang mampu mengurangi dampak risiko bencana terhadap pengguna. Desain yang responsif terhadap kondisi alam, penggunaan material yang bijaksana, dan strategi konstruksi yang aman menjadi dasar pengembangan fasilitas ini. Selain itu, bangunan dilengkapi ruang edukasi dan laboratorium simulasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, keterampilan mitigasi, dan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam menghadapi berbagai ancaman bencana. Dengan demikian, perancangan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pusat informasi, pembelajaran, dan pelatihan kebencanaan bagi masyarakat maupun pemerintah daerah, sehingga mampu menciptakan komunitas yang lebih sadar risiko, adaptif, dan tangguh dalam menghadapi bencana. Lombok Island is highly vulnerable to disasters due to its location between two major seismic sources: the Indo-Australian subduction zone to the south and the Flores Thrust Fault to the north, both of which frequently generate significant seismic activity. In addition to earthquake risks, Lombok Island is home to Mount Rinjani, an active volcano with eruption potential, and is also susceptible to flooding and landslides during periods of heavy rainfall. Amid these vulnerable geographic and geological conditions, the capacity of human resources in technical planning and disaster management remains relatively low, underscoring the urgent need to develop educational and disaster mitigation facilities. Employing a sustainable architectural approach, the building is designed to be energy- and material-efficient, environmentally friendly, and structurally resilient, thereby minimizing the impact of disaster risks on its users. The design incorporates responsiveness to natural conditions, careful material selection, and safe construction practices to ensure durability and safety. Additionally, the facility includes educational spaces and simulation laboratories to enhance community awareness, mitigation skills, and preparedness for various disaster threats. Consequently, this design is intended to serve as a center for disaster information, learning, and training for both the community and local government, fostering a more risk-aware, adaptive, and resilient population in the face of disasters.
