Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai karakteristik marshall dari laston lapis aus atau asphalt concrete wearing course (AC-WC) yaitu : Void In The Mix (VIM), Void In Mineral Agreggate (VMA), Void Filled With Bitument (VFB), Stabilitas, Kelelehan (Flow) dan Marshall Quotient (MQ), serta nilai karakteristik agregat dengan pengujian Los Angles untuk mengetahui keausan agregat kasar, dan pengujian Sand Equivalent untuk mengetahui kadar lumpur agregat halus dengan menggunakan agregat alam yang berasal dari kali progo, Kulon progo, sebagai bahan pengganti agregat yang melewati mesin crusher atau pemecah. Dengan harapan agregat alam disekitar lokasi pembuatan perkerasan struktur jalan dapat menjadi alternatif, sehingga dapat menghemat dari segi biaya dan waktu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilakukan dilaboratorium yamg menggunakan pedoman Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa karakteristik agregat yang diperoleh yaitu, nilai SE sebesar 97,35% dengan kandungan lumpur 2,65%, dan niali keausan agregat sebesar 25,42%, dengan variasi kadar aspal campuran 5%; 5,5%; 6%; 6,5%; dan 7%. Hasil dari variasi kadar aspal tersebut diperoleh nilai KAO sebesar 6,40%, dengan nilai VIM yaitu 4,455%, dan nilai VMA yaitu sebesar 16,662%, untuk nilai VFB sebesar 73,260%, dan nilai stabilitas yaitu 1068,673 kg, sedangkan untuk nilai flow sebesar 3,133 mm, dan nilai MQ sebesar 341,066 kg/mm. Kata kunci: Agregat, Karakteristik, Marshall. This study aims to determine the marshall characteristic values of asphalt concrete wearing course (AC-WC), namely: Void In The Mix (VIM), Void In Mineral Agreggate (VMA), Void Filled With Bitument (VFB), Stability, Meltability (Flow) and Marshall Quotient (MQ), as well as aggregate characteristic values by the Los Angles test to determine the wear and tear of coarse aggregate, and the Sand Equivalent test to determine the silt content of fine aggregate using natural aggregate originating from Kali Progo, Kulon Progo, as material. substitute for aggregate passing through a crusher or breaker. It is expected that natural aggregates around the road structure pavement construction site can be an alternative, so as to save in terms of cost and time. This study used an experimental method in a laboratory using the General Specifications guidelines from the 2018 Bina Marga. The results of this study indicate that the aggregate characteristics obtained are the SE value of 97.35% with a mud content of 2.65%, and an aggregate wear value of 25.42%, with a variation of asphalt mix content of 5%; 5.5%; 6%; 6.5%; and 7%. The results of the variations in asphalt content obtained an KAO value of 6.40%, with a VIM value of 4.455%, and a VMA value of 16.662%, for a VFB value of 73.260%, and a stability value of 1068.673 kg, while for the flow value of 3.133 mm, and an MQ value of 341.066 kg/mm.
