Abstract
Mineral Geotechnology Museum is a museum about geotechnology which includes earth sciences. The collection of this museum are rock minerals, fossils, and other mining findings. The Mineral Geotechnology Museum has a problem in data collection on borrowing museum collections because it is still typed using Microsoft Word. Since the absence of a special data collection system about lending collection, consequently, it is difficult to the find the data and there is lack of lending collection information year by year. This study aims to design and build a data collection system that can handle the data of lending museum collections in the Mineral Geotechnology Museum. The research methods applied are data collection methods and stages of system development. Methods of data collection are in the form of interviews, observation, and literature studies. While the stages of system development use the waterfall method, namely the system analysis stage, system design phase, system implementation stage, and system testing stage. Testing the system uses black box testing. The results of this study are a Mineral Geotechnology Museum collection data system which includes data of museum collection information, lending transactions and returns along with printable reports. The museum collection data system is designed to facilitate officers to computerized manage collection information data and lending data. Keywords: Data Collection System, Museum Data Collection
