Abstract
Every day humans need electricity to carry out simple activities, for example turning on and turning off lights. These activities sometimes make people often forget and are lazy to do this because they have to reach and touch the light switch. Along with the development of technologies, there are many develop technological innovations to help and facilitate human activities. One of them to facilitate human activity is by using speech recognition technology. Speech recognition can help to control system of electric loads such as lights, fan, air conditioning, TV, etc., from a distance without having to reach the switch but only using a voice commands. This study creates an Android application as a control that can be linked to speech recognition and change the voice command in text form. The results of the tests that have been carried out show that the noisy conditions have a higher success rate than the quiet conditions. The success rate of recognizing commands in noisy conditions is 95% while 93% for quiet conditions. This shows that our system is resistant to noisy situations.
