Abstract

Seasonal changes in Indonesia have become uncertain due to global warming, so that the upcoming season is difficult to predict again. This condition will certainly be very troublesome, one of them when it is drying clothes but suddenly rains. Problems will increase when residents of the house are traveling and there are no residents at home. Clothes that are dried in the sun but not maximally dry will cause unpleasant odors that will disturb our comfort in wearing these clothes. Therefore, through the design of an Arduino-based automatic clothes drying prototype using raindrop sensors and DHT11 sensors, it is expected to help overcome these problems. Raindrop sensor that is capable of detecting water so that it will send an order to Arduino to close the roof of the clothesline to make it easier for homeowners so there is no need to worry when it is raining. The DHT11 sensor will detect how much temperature and humidity are inside the room, so clothes in the room can still be dried because the sensor will control the fan inside the room. This tool also has a buzzer as a notification when the clothes are dry. Based on the results of the design and manufacture of tools, the raindrop sensor successfully to detect raindrop and DHT11 sensor is successfully measuring the humidity up to level 80% air humidity.
