Abstract

Runcit Sembako Shop or Stall is a privately owned business that was established in 2017 belongs to Mr. Murtala. The Shop is located on Jl. Sutopatan No 2, Yogyakarta. Runcit Sembako Shop or Stall is a unit that is engaged in the sale and purchase of basic necessities. At Runcit Shop the recording of sales and purchase transactions still uses manual media. Therefore the management of data collection and transactions enables errors and inefficiencies. With this research, Runcit Sembako Shop can use a computerized system to help the process of buying and selling. Firstly this study aims to help Shop owners to store information about incoming goods, sales transactions, purchases, sales returns, and purchase returns and goods stock. The research objective is to build a sales and purchase information system at Runcit Sembako Shop. Secondly is to build a system that could facilitate transactions at the Shop. Thirdly is to build a system that could report goods data and transactions occur at the Shop. The results of this study is in the form of a client-server-based sales and purchase information system that can be used to fulfill sales activities at the Shop with system using ease is of 52.35%.
