Abstract

ABSTRAK Kondisi geologis Indonesia mempunyai potensi gempa yang melingkupi sebagian besar wilayahnya, karena terletak dalam jalur gempa Pasifik dan dan jalur gempa Asia. Perencanaan bangunan tahan gempa berbasis kekuatan (force based) berdasarkan SNI-03-1726-2012 telah terbukti berhasil mengurangi korban jiwa. Namun tidak berfungsinya gedung dan fasilitas umum karena kerusakan yang terjadi menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi yang cukup besar. Saat ini arah metode perencanaan tahan gempa beralih dari pendekatan kekuatan (force based) menuju pendekatan kinerja (performance based) dimana struktur direncanakan terhadap beberapa tingkat kinerja. Struktur bangunan Atria Hotel & Conference Magelang menggunakan Nonlinear Dynamic Pushover Analysis memungkinkan bisa mencegah terjadinya kecelakan ataupun meprediksi pola keruntuhan suatu gedung akibat adanya gempa. Penelitian tugas akhir dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi kinerja tahanan gempa Gedung Atria Hotel & Conference Magelang untuk mengetahui level kinerja bangunan (performance level) berdasarkan ATC-40 dan FEMA 440. Serta mekanisme terbentuk sendi plastis pada balok kolom dan memprediksi perilaku keruntuhan. Metode penelitian menggunakan respons spektrum dengan program SAP2000v19. Berdasarkan ATC-40 diperoleh nilai performance point untuk arah x = 0,0036 dan arah y =0,0039. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa struktur gedung yang ditinjau termasuk dalam tingkat kinerja Immediate Occupancy (IO). Sedangkan hasil analisis tingkat kerusakan struktur menggunakan FEMA 440 menghasilkan nilai target perpindahan lateral struktur arah x = 0,2 m, dan arah y = 0,2m dan termasuk dalam kategori tingkat kerusakan struktur Immediate Occupancy (IO). Sebagian besar tingkat sendi plastis balok dan kolom masih dalam Immediate Occupancy (IO). Dalam kategori ini sistem penahan gaya lateral dalam bangunan dapat menahan karakteristik dan kapasitas beban gempa, resiko korban jiwa sangat rendah, dan kerusakan struktur dalam batas toleransi. Kata kunci : non-linier, performance, pushover, sendi plastis ABSTRACT The geology of Indonesia has potential for earthquakes that covers most of its territory because it is situated in the earthquake route in the Pacific and Asian regions. The planning of earthquake-resistant force-based buildings based on the Indonesian national standard SNI 03-1726-2012 has proven to successfully reduce fatalities. However, the non-functioning of buildings and public facilities due to damage causes a considerable economic loss. Today, there is a shift in the direction of the earthquake-resistant planning method, i.e. from a force-based approach to a performance-based approach where a structure is planned based on several levels of performance. The building structure of Atria Hotel & Conference Magelang using Nonlinear Dynamic Pushover Analysis enables it to prevent accidents or to predict its collapse pattern when an earthquake hits. The research, which was a final assignment, was undertaken by evaluating the performance of earthquake resistance of Atria Hotel & Conference’s building in Magelang to determine its performance level based on ATC-40 and FEMA 440 and the mechanism for plastic hinge formation in beam columns, and to predict collapse behavior. It employed the method of a response spectrum using the program SAP2000v19. Based on ATC-40, the performance point values for directions x = 0.0036 and y = 0.0039 were obtained. These results indicate that the building structure viewed fell into the performance level of Immediate Occupancy (IO). As for the analysis of the structural damage level using FEMA 440, it generated the values of target structural lateral displacement for directions x = 0.2 m and y = 0.2 m, and fell into the structural damage category of Immediate Occupancy (IO). Most plastic hinge levels of the beams and columns remained in the category of Immediate Occupancy (IO). In this category, the building’s lateral force retaining system can withstand the characteristics and capacity of earthquake loads, the risk of casualties is very low, and structural damage is within tolerance limits.
