Abstract
This research was carried out based on the phenomena in SMA 1 Pakem especially class XII. Found data shows 43.55% of students experience career problems. Students find it difficult to decide on further study choices that are in accordance with their abilities. This study aims to find out (1) the amount of conformity contribution to peers in class XII of Pakem State Senior High School, (2) the amount of interest in further study in Class XII of Pakem State Senior High School, (3) Relationship of interest in study from conformity to Peers. . This research is a correlation study. The research sample was 32 students using simple random sampling technique. The data used a questionnaire in the form of Likert which aims to find a relationship of interest in further study of class XII students of SMA 1 Pakem in terms of Conformity to Peers. Based on the description of the data obtained that the contribution of peer conformity is 37.5%. The results of the study, using Product Moment correlation analysis with the help of SPSS Windows 19, obtained the value of the correlation coefficient or r-count is 0.932 while the value of r-table with df = 32 the value is 0.3388. So that the r-count ≥ r-table is 0.932 ≥ 0.3388. Thus the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between the interest in further study in class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Pakem in terms of conformity to Peers. The results showed: (1) the contribution of conformity to peers 37.5%, (2) interest in further studies above the average of 46.875 and around an average of 28.125% indicating that students of class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Pakem had a high interest in study, (3) there is a relationship between interest in further study with conformity to peers with r-count ≥ r-table which is 0.932 ≥ 0.3388.
