Abstract
ABSTRAK Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare(UMP) adalah sekolah tinggi di daerah Kota Parepare. Universitas ini mengalami pertumbuhan signifikan terhadap segala aspek. UMP sebagai perguruan tinggi swasta dibangun oleh yayasan Muhammadiyah harus memiliki tempat ibadah berupa Masjid. Tempat ibadah ini diperuntukkan untuk mewadahi segala macam ibadah dan sebagi pusat orientasi dalam lingkungan masjid. Adapun sasaran yang diperuntukkan dalam konsep ini ialah selain menerapkan penekanan desain, masjid ini juga dapat mampu mewadahi dan mendukung kegiatan civitas kampus. Metode yang digunakan untuk data primer dan sekunder adalah metode observasi dan metode dokumentasi. Dilakukan survei oleh penulis atau perwakilan untuk pengambilan data di lapangan kemudian sebagian dilakukan melalui pencarian data melalui Internet. Setelah didapatkan data-data yang diperlukan, dilakukan analisis dan membahasnya untuk mengelola potensi dan permasalahan pada lahan. Dari proses ini dibangun konstruksi dari lapangan. Beberapa kesimpulan yang muncul yaitu: Kapasitas Masjid UMPAR saat ini kurang, Hierarki Kampus yang belum jelas dan kembalinya Arsitektur Muhammadiyah dalam ramainya arsitektur post-modern. Kesimpulan-kesimpulan ini di perbincangkan hingga muncul teori mengenai Pembangunan Masjid Besar dan fasilitas penunjang lainnya di kawasan Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare dengan konsep Arsitektur Muhammadiyah. Kesimpulan dari proposal pengembangan konsep tugas akhir ini adalah dibangunnya Masjid yang berkonsep Arsitektur Muhammadiyah yang dapat menarik perhatian pengunjung dan menjadi ruang yang mewadahi segala aktivitas penggunanya. Kata kunci: Masjid, UMP, Arsitketur-Muhammadiyah ABSTRACT Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare (UMP) is a higher institution in Parepare city. This university has shown a significant development in all aspects. As a private university built by Muhammadiyah foundation UMP must have a worship building in the form of Mosque. This building is designed to accommodate all kinds of worship of Moslems and as a centre for orientation in the mosque environment. The objectives targeted in this concept are to implement the emphasis of the design and to make the mosque able to accommodate and support the activities of campus community. The methods used for the primary and secondary data were the observation and documentation. A survey was conducted by the researcher or the representative for collecting the data in field and some were conducted by searching the data through internet. Once the data were obtained, an analysis was done to discuss the management of the potentials and problems in the field. From this process, a construction was built from the field. Some conclusiosn were then drawn including: the inadequate capacity of the UMPAR Mosque for now, the unclear hierarchy of Campus and the return of Muhammadiyah architecture in the increasing post-modern architecture. These conclusions were discussed to create a theory about the construction of Large Mosque and other supporting facilities in the area of Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare with the concept of Muhammadiyah architecture. The conclusion of this final assignment is the design of Mosque with the concept of Muhammdiyah architecture that can attract visitors and can be a space to accommodate all activities of the users.
