Abstract
ABSTRAK Perancangan Resort di Kawasan Gunung Merapi ditujukan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta khususnya Kabupaten Sleman dengan menerapkan pendekatan neo-vernakular. Metode perancangan yang digunakan adalah rational apporoach yang artinya menyelesaikan masalah dengan rumusan hasil analisa, hasil sintesis dan dipadukan dengan pendekatan arsitektur neo-vernakular sehingga mendapatkan solusi desain. Perancangan resort dengan pendekatan arsitektur neo-vernakular dilakukan dengan mengintegrasikan budaya tradisional dan budaya modern. Budaya tradisional di transformasikan dalam gaya modern dan diaplikasikan dalam rancangan untuk membentuk daya tarik bangunan. Pengembangan rancangan juga diarahkan untuk merespon kondisi sekitar site untuk menjaga keselarasan bangunan dengan lingkungannya dan menciptakana resort sebagai ikon daerah sekitar. Prinsip-prinsip dasar arsitektur jawa Yogyakarta ditransformasikan pada rancangan resort untuk tetap mempertahankan citra nilai-nilai tradisonal dalam bangunan dengan fungsi modern. Transformasi dari bentuk rumah joglo dikembangkan sebagai pengembangan bentuk massa dan tatanan lansekap resort. Kata kunci : Arsitektur Neo-vernakular, Resort, Wisata. ABSTRACT Resort Design in the area of Mt. Merapi aims to increase the economic of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, particularly the Regency of Sleman, by using the neo-vernacular approach. The design method used was the rational approach. Rational approach is defined as to solve problems using the formulation of analytical result, synthetical result, combined with the approach of neo-vernacular architecture to obtain the design solutions. The resort design with the neo-vernacular architectural approach was conducted by integrating traditional and modern cultures. The traditional culture was transformed into the modern style, and applied to the design to form the building’s attraction. The design development was also directed to respond the condition around the site to keep the building’s harmony with its environment, and create the resort as an icon of the surrounding area. The Yogyakarta Javanese architectural basic principles were transformed into the resort design to maintain the traditional values image in the building with modern function. The transformation from the shape of a Joglo House was developed as a development of the mass shape and the landscape order of the resort. Keywords: Neo-vernacular architecture, Resort, Tourism.
