Abstract

Vocational School Bina Harapan Sleman is a school that strongly supports students to be ready to work in the industrial world professionally, especially in the field of graphic design. With the Basic Graphic Design Subjects, students are expected to be able to learn graphic design optimally. The purpose of this research is to develop Multimedia Based Basic Learning Media for Multimedia-Based Graphic Design (case study: SMK Bina Harapan Sleman). The research method used is Research and Development by adapting the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The alpha testing consists of media expert testing and material expert testing. While beta testing involves class X students of Computer and Network Engineering SMK Bina Harapan Sleman. The results of this study are as follows: 1) The products produced include intro, instructions, basic competencies, material, evaluation, references, and profiles. The intro section contains the title of learning media. The basic competencies section contains basic competencies, indicators, and learning objectives that are in accordance with the syllabus. The instructions section contains instructions for using instructional media. The material section contains material that includes text, audio, and animation. The evaluation section consists of multiple choice evaluation questions and scores. The reference section contains a list of references used as references for making media. The profile section contains the media developer biodata. In the material section is already connected with an XML file. The evaluation questions and answers are already connected databases which can be changed by the admin through the web administrator; 2) the product developed is feasible and can be used as a learning aid in terms of the assessment of media experts including aspects of display quality, audio visual, and programming aspects. Of the three aspects, it obtained an average of 4.2 and was included in both categories. Expert assessment of the material includes aspects of the quality of the content which obtained 4.6 results and is included in the excellent category. The results of the user / user assessment of interactive learning media in the Basic Graphic Design subjects obtained 4.4 results with a very good category.
