Abstract
ABSTRACT At present the management and rental system / electricity power rates in some boarding houses are still carried out in a conventional way that is not transparent because there is no information regarding to the use of electric power, and it is not fair because there is no regulation on the system with concrete metering parameters and electricity usage limits. On the other hand there are several boarders who have used PLN prepaid meters in each room so the electricity costs are purely based on customer usage. However, this is burdensome to boarders because the initial cost of installing electricity will be expensive. Based on these problems the author wants to design systems and tools that implement a prepaid electricity system and are able to control, manage tariffs and monitor the electrical power of the boarding house in real time, transparent, fair, and relatively inexpensive. In this research the author will use the Node MCU ESP-32 microcontroller as a control system that is integrated with web server. This tool uses the PZEM-004t sensor module as an electric power sensor, and the power breaker uses a relay that will disconnect power in the room unit when the pulse runs out, the power is turned off, or the load exceeds the power limit. Based on the testing that has been done, the average error value of voltage measurements is 1,125 Volt, meanwhile, the average error value of current measurements is 0,00725 Ampere.
