Abstract
ABSTRACT The first step to save electricity is the user of electricity must know how much energy has been used and how much the cost has been used. Therefore in this study a tool was made that could monitor and control electrical quantities and record and display their contents in a web browser. The methods used in this study are monitoring design and control of Internet of Things (IoT) based on electricity with NodeMCU and PZEM-004t devices. The results show that nodeMCU is proven to be able to send data from readings consisting of AC electricity parameters to a server via an available WiFi network. The tool can monitor AC electrical parameters through web browsers such as voltage, current, active power (P), apparent power (S), power factor (Cos Phi) and the amount of electrical power (kWh) and is able to control electrical loads through the internet. The PZEM-004t sensor has an average AC measurement error rate of 2.05%, AC current measurement of 2.88%, power measurement of 0.58%, and energy measurement (kwh) of 0%.
