Abstract

The title of this research is Arduino based gate access prototype system with fingerprint recognition method. The purpose of this study is to discuss the door security system using fingerprints and based on Arduino uno. Fingerprints that have been accessed by the fingers of humans will provide data to the microcontroller to be processed which will then provide a request to the solenoid to open the door lock. The research methods in this thesis include literature studies, system design, mechanical manufacturing, hardware design (hardware) and software (software). Based on tests conducted both on mechanics and electronics that have been made and see the purpose of the study, it can be concluded as follows: this equipment has been approved and can be used to assist the security system at the turnstile at home using fingerprints based on Arduino Uno.
