Abstract

High wind speeds can cause disasters. The safe wind limit is below 17m / s. By Seeing the existing problems, the author intends to make the final project with the title “design of a weather monitoring system based on wind speed, temperature, humidity and air pressure parameters Using Internet of Thing”. In this tool Arduino UNO microcontroller is used to process sensor data. Data that has been processed is sent to the database server using Ethernet Shield. The data sent is wind speed data which is measured using an anemometer sensor, temperature and humidity using the DHT11 sensor, air pressure and altitude using a BMP180 sensor. The making of this weather monitoring system using IoT has been through several stages, namely identification of needs, need analysis, hardware design, software design, and prototype making and testing. Test results on this system, on the anemometer sensor, the average error is 0.20% from comparison with manual calculations and 7.41% error from comparison of the reference wind speed measuring instrument. In testing the DHT11 sensor compare with digital hygrometer the average error is 2.86% on temperature and 3.02% error in humidity. The BMP180 sensor works well and the sending of data to the database is also done well. Keywords: Internet of Think, weather monitoring, Web Server, wind
