Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses implementasi nilai pendidikan karakter disiplin, hormat dan santun di SMK Negeri 1 Tempel. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan kondisi perilaku siswa sering melanggar tata tertib sekolah. Pendidikan karakter sangat penting untuk diterapkan pada peserta didik. Di Indonesia masih terjadi beberapa kasus mengenai pelanggaran pendidikan seperti membolos dan dikarenakan karena kurangnya pengawasan orang tua dan pembinaan sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif Penelitian kualitatif ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Tempel, Sleman, Yogyakarta dengan mengambil subjek penelitian guru bimbingan dan konseling, kesiswaan, dan siswa. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif dengan langkah-langkah, editing data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menghasilkan simpulan sebagai berikut, SMK Negeri 1 Tempel menerapkan implementasi nilai pendidikan karakter disiplin, hormat dan santun pada kegiatan di sekolah, salah satunya kegiatan pagi yaitu simpatik. Dalam implementasinya pihak sekolah tidak melakukan evaluasi terkait manajemen setiap periode, hanya mengacu pada aturan yang ada sebelumnya. Hendaknya dalam pengembangannya pihak sekolah melakukan pembenahan dan membuat program untuk meningkatkan nilai karakter disiplin, hormat dan santun serta melakukan assessment terkait kebutuhan siswa sehingga implementasi bisa sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Kata Kunci : disiplin, hormat & santun, pendidikan karakter, This study aims to determine the process of implementing the values of discipline, respect and courtesy character education at SMK Negeri 1 Tempel. This research was conducted based on the condition of student behavior who often violated school rules. Character education is very important to be applied to students. In Indonesia there are still a number of cases of violations of education such as truancy and due to lack of parental supervision and school guidance. This research was a type of qualitative research. This qualitative research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Tempel, Sleman, Yogyakarta by taking the research subjects of guidance and counseling teachers, students, and students. The research data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation, analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques with steps of data editing, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. This research yields the following conclusions. SMK Negeri 1 Tempel implemented the implementation of the values of discipline, respect and courtesy in character activities at school, one of which is morning activities, called SIMPATIK. In its implementation, the school did not conduct an evaluation related to management every period, only refers to the previous rules. In its development, the school should make improvements and make programs to increase the value of the character of discipline, respect and polite and conduct assessments related to student needs so that implementation can be in accordance with student needs.
