Abstract

The crime rate is increasing, especially in the theft of money or valuables. To anticipate it, we need an integrated and safe security device. The existence of a safe deposit box is still lack of security systems which is not practical in accessing it. Therefore, the author considers producing a secure locking device using an Android smartphone application, and the author also adds security features using a 3x4 keypad. The design of this safe lock uses NodeMCU ESP8266 and Arduino nano as a microcontroller while the media used are Android smartphone applications and 3x4 keypad. In the industrial world, the equipment can be designed to provide quality products and the right conditions. For example, safe requires an extraordinary level of security to be adequately protected. The secure locking device using an Android smartphone application and the addition of a lock with a 3x4 keypad will be more reliable and safer from theft. In this study, the author succeeded in making a secure locking box using an android smartphone application with the blynk application, and the authors add additional features with a 3x4 keypad. This system was created using a + 5V DC voltage source, NodeMCUESP 8266, Arduino nano as a microcontroller, Magnetic Sensor, Solenoid door lock, 3x4 keypad and Lcd as the output media. Based on the results of analysis and testing tools, it proved that the security system on the safe deposit box worked optimally, with two combinations to unlock the safe with an Android smartphone application and a 3x4 keypad. This tool can lock a safe by using two media, namely the Android smartphone application (Blynk) and a 3x4 keypad, making it very difficult to create the secure and minimize the theft of valuable crimes.
