Abstract
In modern times such as current technological developments and population growth has been very rapid. Therefore the need for energy resources and consumption also increased, including the need for electricity sources where most of the electricity we use comes from coal-fired power plants that are less friendly to the living environment. In addition to the increasing need for electricity sources, the need for daily consumption such as food also continues to increase, especially in densely populated urban areas. It would be a problem if there were no prevention efforts. One prevention that we can do is we must look for other alternative energy and consumption materials that we can produce ourselves. One of them is hydroponics with a solar panel power source; with this, we will ease the need for electrical energy and the need for food consumption. Electrical energy is needed by hydroponics to power a pump that will circulate water, so that plant growth in hydroponics is more optimal. In order for the system to run well, it needs several supporting components besides the solar panel and hydroponics itself, such as pumps, solar charger controllers, accumulators, and others. In addition to components, power calculation is also essential so that the system does not lack power due to overload. One of the calculations is the calculation of the voltage and amperes produced by the solar panel, calculation of accumulator capacity, and calculation of power requirements at the load or pump.
