Abstract
ABSTRAK Perancangan Pusat Kebudayaan yang berada di Kota Jambi memiliki potensi untuk di rancang. Pusat Kebudayaan ini merupakan tempat untuk menyelenggarakan berbagai kegiatan Budaya dan termasuk salah satu pariwisata di Kota Jambi agar masyarakat lokal maupun luar mengetahui tentang seni dan budaya yang ada di Provinsi Jambi. Untuk masalah taman budaya yang berada di Kota Jambi, taman budaya tersebut tidak memiliki fungsi yang lengkap sehingga tidak memberikan dampak besar terhadap Kota Jambi, oleh karena itu dalam perancangan Pusat Kebudayaan ini akan di rancang dengan fungsi yang lengkap, rekreatif, informatif dan edukasi yang menunjang pada bangunan. Pendekatan yang dipilih adalah “Arsitektur Post-modern”. Pendekatan dipilih karna dari karakteristik arsitektur post-modern bisa diterapkan pada bangunan Pusat Kebudayaan, karena arsitektur post-modern berpengaruh kepada aspek kehidupan manusia seperti seni, arsitektur, sastra, komunikasi, fashion, gaya hidup hingga teknologi, maka dari itu pendekatan arsitektur post-modern sangat mudah diterapkan pada bangunan Pusat Kebudayaan karena berpegaruh kepada aspek seni, sastra, dan komunikasi yang dimana hal itu sangat melekat kepada Pusat Kebudayaan. Selain itu pendekatan yang dipilih untuk dapat mengekspresikan bentukan fasad bangunan pada Pusat Kebudayaan sehingga dapat dijadikan sebuah ikon baru di Kota Jambi. Kata Kunci: arsitektur post-modern, Provinsi Jambi, pariwisata, pusat kebudayaan, seni dan budaya. ABSTRACT The design of the Cultural Center in the city of Jambi has the potential to be designed. This Cultural Center is a place to hold various Cultural activities and includes one of tourism in Jambi City so that local and foreign people know about the arts and culture in Jambi Province. The problem of cultural parks in the city of Jambi is the absence of a complete function so it does not have a big impact on the city of Jambi. Therefore, in the design of this Cultural Center will be designed with complete, recreational, informative and educational functions that support the building. The approach chosen was "Post-modern Architecture". The approach was chosen because of the characteristics of post-modern architecture can be applied to the building of the Cultural Center, because post-modern architecture affects the aspects of human life such as art, architecture, literature, communication, fashion, lifestyle to technology, therefore the post-modern architecture approach very easily applied to the building of the Cultural Center because it affects aspects of art, literature, and communication which are very attached to the Cultural Center. In addition, the approach chosen to be able to express the building facade formation at the Cultural Center so that it can be used as a new icon in the city of Jambi.
