Abstract
ABSTRAK Melonjaknya jumlah pengguna di Bandara Adi Sutjipto membuat pemerintah membangun bandara baru yaitu Yogyakarta International Airport yang memiliki daya tampung mencapai 14 juta setiap tahunnya. Jumlah itu sangat meningkat dari jumlah kapasitas bandara lama yang hanya mampu menampung 1,8 juta setiap tahunnya. Mengantisipasi hal tersebut, pemerintah berupaya membuat sebuah destinasi wisata baru yaitu Distrik Bisnis yang mempunyai 3 zona, zona 1 Sentra UMKM, zona 2 Conventional Center, dan zona 3 Hotel Berbintang. Fokus utama pada destinasi wisata baru ini adalah mengenalkan budaya dimata dunia yang dimulai dari pengembangan zona 1 Sentra UMKM. Permasalahan yang timbul pada lahan yang akan digunakan adalah pencemaran lingkungan, mengingat sekarang lahan ini masih digunakan untuk pembuangan tabung gas, yang diharapkan dapat diselesaikan dengan penekanan Urban Catalyst. Penerapan Urban Catalyst akan menjadikan Sentra UMKM sebuah penggerak bagi lingkungan sekitar menuju yang lebih baik, juga dapat menampung banyak aktivitas bagi lingkungan sekitar. Sentra akan menyesuaikan dengan konteks lama perkotaan dan mengintegrasikannya dengan infrastruktur perkotaan. Meningkatnya jumlah aktivitas dan terintegrasi dengan lingkungan sekitar merupakan salah satu tujuan dari Sentra UMKM sebagai Urban Catalyst. Kata kunci: Distrik-Bisnis, Sentra-UMKM, Urban-Catalyst, Peningkatan-Aktivitas, Integrasi ABSTRACT The increasing number of users at Adi Sutjipto Airport prompted the government to build a new airport, namely Yogyakarta International Airport, which has a capacity of up to 14 million annually. This number is greatly increased from the capacity of the old airport which is only able to accommodate 1.8 million annually. Anticipating this, the government is trying to create a new tourist destination, namely the Business District which has 3 zones, zone 1 UMKM Center, zone 2 Conventional Center, and zone 3 Star Hotels. The main focus of this new tourist destination is to introduce culture in the eyes of the world, starting with the development of zone 1 in the UMKM Center. The problem that arises in the land to be used is environmental pollution, considering that currently this land is still used for disposal of gas cylinders, which is expected to be resolved with the emphasis of Urban Catalyst. The implementation of the Urban Catalyst will make the UMKM Center a driving force for the surrounding environment to be better, as well as accommodating many activities for the surrounding environment. Sentra will adapt to the old urban context and integrate it with urban infrastructure. Increasing the number of activities and being integrated with the surrounding environment is one of the goals of the UMKM Center as an Urban Catalyst.
