Abstract
ABSTRAK Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu provinsi di Indonesia yang memiliki banyak potensi wisata, antara lain dilihat dari letak geografis, sejarah, dan budaya yang tetap terjaga hingga saat ini. Beberapa objek wisata di Yogyakarta yang mengandalkan letak geografis meliputi wisata alam, wisata bahari, dan wisata buatan. Kaliurang merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata di Yogyakarta yang saat ini menjadi destinasi wisata ketiga yang paling banyak dikunjungi. Keberadaan sumberdaya alam Kaliurang saat ini masih kurang dimanfaatkan dengan baik maka harus ada perancangan seperti resort & hotel sebagai penyedia akomodasi untuk menikmati suasana dan wisata yang ada dikawasan Kaliurang. Arsitektur tropis, merupakan suatu rancangan bangunan yang dirancang untuk memecahkan permasalahan-permasalahan yang terdapat di daerah tropis. Suhu udara dan kelembaban udara akan menentukan kenyamanan. Iklim tropis memungkinkan mendapatkan sinar matahari sepanjang tahun, walaupun disaat musim hujan. Daerah yang beriklim tropis memiliki kelembaban yang tinggi dan sinar ultraviolet sepanjang hari. Perancangan Resort dan Hotel Kawasan Kaliurang Dengan Pendekatan Arsitektur Tropis akan menjawab kebutuhan wisatawan terkait akomodasi di Kawasan wisata dengan mengoptimalkan kondisi alam sekitar, sekaligus menjawab persoalan iklim Tropis demi kenyamanan penggunanya. Kata kunci: Perancangan, Arsitektur Tropis, Kaliurang, Resort dan Hotel, Yogyakarta ABSTRACT Yogyakarta is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has a lot of tourism potential, among others, seen from its geographic location, history, and culture which has been maintained until now. Several tourist objects in Yogyakarta that rely on geographic location include natural tourism, marine tourism, and artificial tourism. Kaliurang is one of the tourist destinations in Yogyakarta which is currently the third most visited tourist destination. The existence of Kaliurang natural resources is currently underutilized properly, so there must be designs such as resorts & hotels as accommodation providers to enjoy the atmosphere and tourism in the Kaliurang area. Tropical architecture, is a building design designed to solve problems in the tropics. Air temperature and humidity will determine comfort. The tropical climate allows sunshine throughout the year, even during the rainy season. Areas with tropical climates have high humidity and ultraviolet rays throughout the day. The design of the Kaliurang Resort and Hotel Area with a Tropical Architectural Approach will answer the needs of tourists related to accommodation in tourist areas by optimizing the surrounding natural conditions, as well as answering tropical climate issues for the convenience of its users.
