Abstract

Kata kunci : Beton, Regenerasi, Bakteri, Bacillus Subtillis, Bacillus Cereus ABSTRACT Concrete is a very important element that serves as one of the most widely used structural formers by society today. The strengths of concrete as a construction material include high compressive strength, free form of the building, and resistance to fire. The problem that needs attention in this concrete construction is the presence of concrete cracks too early, both due to loading and hydration heat. One way that can be done to improve the weaknesses of concrete in the form of cracks is by giving bacteria to the concrete that will provide the ability to regenerate or recover from cracks that occur. The addition of these bacteria is expected to be able to maintain a longer concrete life, minimizing the costs incurred to repair and also facilitate maintenance or repair work because the bacteria work directly when supplied. Bacteria used for the regeneration of concrete bacteria are Bacillus Subtilis and Bacillus Cereus which have high environmental resistance. Bacteria will form spores to defend themselves, and the resulting spores will later harden and cover the concrete cracks. From the test results there is a difference in compressive strength between normal concrete and regenerated concrete that is 21,602MPa normal concrete and 18,047MPa regenerated concrete or there is a difference of 16,456%. And from the results of the crack analysis it can be concluded that the cracks that occur in concrete are compressed cracks.
