Abstract
ABSTRAK Angkutansedimen di sungaimerupakan proses alami yang terjadisecaraberkelanjutan. Sedimentasiterjadikarenaadanyapengendapandanterbawanyasedimenoleharus air padadaerahaliransungai (DAS). Padakontekspengelolaan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) sedimentasimerupakanpermasalahan yang sangatpentingkarenakerugian yang ditimbulkanolehadanya proses sedimentasijauhlebihbesardaripadamanfaat yang diperoleh. Kerugiannyadiantara lain berkurangnyakapasitastampungdarisuatualiransungai. Lokasipenelitian di lakukanpadaaliran Sungai Gajah Wong Yogyakarta. Penelitianinidilakukandenganmelakukanpengambilansampelsedimendasar yang berada di lokasipenelitian. Setelahdilakukanpengambilansampelsedimendasar, selanjutnyasampelsedimendasardilakukanpengujiangradasi di LaboratoriumUniversitas Gajah Mada, Yogyakarta. Pengujianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuiberatjenis, void ratio, porosity dan diameter ukuranbutirdarisedimendasar. Metode yang digunakanuntukmengetahuibesarlajusedimendasaradalahMeyer Peter Muller.Metode yang digunakanuntukmengetahuikapasitastampungadalahmetodetidaklangsung, yang manamenggunakanpeninjauanduapenampang. Hasilpenelitiandidapatkanbahwalajusedimendasar yang terjadipadaaliransungaiinisebesar 1,279x10-3 m3/s, danuntukkapasitastampungdari Sungai Gajah Wong sebesar 72,256 m3/s. Prosentaseterjadinyalajusedimendasar yang terjadi di sepanjangaliran yang ditinjauadalahsebesar 0,998 %. Lajusedimendasar yang terjadi di Sungai Gajah Wong memilikipengaruh yang sangatkecilterhadapkapasitastampung Sungai Gajah Wong. Kata kunci: Kapasitastampung, Lajusedimendasar, Meyer Peter Muller. ABSTRACT Transport of sediments in the river is a natural process that has been sustained. Sedimentation occurs because of sedimentation and sediment transport by water flows in river basins (DAS). In the context of watershed management (DAS) sedimentation is a very important problem because of the loss caused by the sedimentation process is far more than the benefit obtained. The disadvantages include the reduced capacity of the river flow. Research carried out on the Gajah Wong River in Yogyakarta. This research was conducted by taking basic sediment samples at the study site. After basic sediment sampling was taken, gradation testing was conducted at the Laboratory of Gajah Mada University, Yogyakarta. This testing aims to determine the density, void ratio, porosity and diameter of the basic sediment grains. The method used to find out the basic sediment rate is Meyer Peter Muller. The method used to find out the capacity is an indirect method, which uses a two-section review. The results of the study found that the base sediment rate that occurred in this river flow was 1,279x10-3 m3 / s, and the capacity of the Gajah Wong River was 72,256 m3 / s. The percentage of base sediment rate that occurs along the flow is 0.998%. The basic sedimentation rate that occurs in Gajah Wong River has a very small influence on the capacity of the Gajah Wong River. Keywords: Capacity, base sediment rate, Meyer Peter Muller
