Abstract

ABSTRAK Air limbah merupakan buangan dari hasil kegiatan manusia baik rumah tangga maupun industri. Air limbah banyak mengandung berbagai polutan yang dapat mempengaruhi dan mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistem di sekitar masyarakat. Pembangunan sistem IPAL Komunal perlu dilakukan. IPAL yang telah dibangun mempunyai teknologi dalam mengolah limbah yang berbeda. Perbedaan teknologi yang diterapkan pada IPAL komunal akan mempengaruhi kandungan BOD, COD, dan TSS pada tampungan inlet dan outlet yang berbeda. Penelitian dimulai dengan survei dan pengambilan sampel limbah yang selanjutnya diuji di laboratorium. Perbandingan efektivitas penurunan kadar BOD, COD, dan TSS dihitung menggunakan rumus efisiensi removal. Pengumpulan data sekunder berfungsi untuk mendapatkan perbandingan kondisi eksisting dan pengelolaan pada masing-masing IPAL Komunal. Hasil perhitungan kadar parameter BOD IPAL Gambiran menunjukkan nilai efektivitas sebesar 24,01% sedangkan pada IPAL Mendiro sebesar 70,72% pada outlet awal dan 95,85% pada outlet akhir. Efektivitas penurunan COD pada IPAL Gambiran menghasilkan 45% dari sampel outlet sedangkan IPAL Mendiro sebesar 78,33% pada outlet awal dan 85,83% pada outlet akhir. Nilai kadar TSS pada IPAL Gambiran memiliki nilai sebesar 40%. Sedangkan pada IPAL Mendiro terjadi penurunan yang sangat memuaskan sebesar 94,37% pada outlet awal dan 98,12% pada outlet akhir. Peran teknologi RBC sangat berpengaruh. Teknologi RBC dapat menurunkan 85,84% BOD, 34,61% COD, dan 66,66% TSS. Efektivitas RBC dihitung berdasarkan nilai pada outlet awal dengan outlet akhir Perbandingan kondisi eksisting dan pengelolaan menunjukkan bahwa IPAL Mendiro lebih terkelola dengan baik dari IPAL Gambiran. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan adanya prosedur-prosedur perawatan dan pengelolaan secara berkala. Selain itu pada perbandingan kondisi eksisting, IPAL Gambiran memilki bangunan yang masih belum terawat meskipun pada IPAL Mendiro juga terdapat beberapa retakan kecil pada betonnya. Wastewater contains many pollutants that can affect and disturb the balance of the ecosystem around the community. Communal WWTP system development needs to be done. The WWTP that has been built has the technology to treat different wastes. The difference in technology applied to communal WWTPs will affect the content of BOD, COD, and TSS at different inlet and outlet reservoirs. The study began with a survey and sampling of waste which was then tested in the laboratory. Comparison of effectiveness of decreasing BOD, COD, and TSS levels calculated using the formula removal efficiency. Secondary data collection functions to get a comparison of the existing conditions and management in each Communal WWTP. The results of the BOD parameter calculation, Gambiran WWTP shows an effectiveness value of 24.01% while in the Mendiro WWTP 70.72% at the initial outlet and 95.85% at the final outlet. The effectiveness of COD reduction at Gambiran WWTP resulted in 45% of the sample outlets while Mendiro WWTP was 78.33% at the initial outlet and 85.83% at the final outlet. The value of TSS levels in Gambiran WWTP has a value of 40%. Whereas at Mendiro WWTP, there was a very satisfying decrease of 94.37% at the initial outlet and 98.12% at the final outlet. The role of RBC technology is very influential. RBC technology can reduce 85.84% BOD, 34.61% COD, and 66.66% TSS. The effectiveness of RBC is calculated based on the value at the initial outlet with the final outlet. Comparison of existing and management conditions shows that the Mendiro WWTP is better managed than Gambiran WWTP. This is evidenced by the existence of maintenance and management procedures on a regular basis. Besides that, in comparison to the existing condition, Gambiran WWTP has a building that is still not maintained even though at Mendiro WWTP there are also some small cracks in the concrete.
