Abstract

ABSTRAK Kepadatan lalu lintas yang terus bertambah membuat beban yang diterima oleh sebuah ruas jalan akan meningkat. Beban yang meningkat akan menyebabkan ketahanan atau durabilitas jalan menjadi rendah. Selain beban yang bertambah, korosi yang disebabkan oleh gesekan antara ban kendaraan dengan jalan juga akan meningkat. Salah satu inovasi untuk meningkatan kualitas aspal penetrasi 60/70 dengan menambahkan Polimer HDPE.. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan karakteristik aspal modifikasi polimer HDPE dengan aspal penetrasi 60/70. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen menggunakan Poilimer HDPE sebagai bahan tambah dengan variasi kadar 0%, 5%, 10%, dan 15% dari berat total campuran. Masing-masing variasi dibuat 3 sampel, dengan total 12 benda uji. Pembuatan benda uji ini menggunakan campuran AC-WC kemudian diuji menggunakan metode marshall untuk stabilitas,VIM, VMA, VFA, flow, dan MQ.Perbandingan karakteristik aspal modifikasi polimer HDPE cara basah dengan aspal penetrasi 60/70 adalah, aspal HDPE menurunkan nilai stabilitas pada kadar polimer 5%, dan 10% sebesar 3,2% dan 8,14%, namun menambah nilai stabilitas pada kadar 15%. Menurunkan nilai kelelehan pada kadar polimer 5%, 10%, dan 15% sebesar 32,89%, 40,85% dan 24,93%. Meningkatkan nilai Marshall Quotient pada kadar polimer 5%, 10%, dan 15% sebesar 43,93%, 52,93%, dan 60,38%. Menurunkan nilai VIM pada kadar polimer 5% sebesar 3,5%, dan menambah nilai VIM pada kadar polimer 10%, dan 15% sebesar 51,65% dan 61,49%. Menurunkan nilai VMA pada kadar polimer 5%% sebesar 1,7%, namun menambah nilai VMA pada kadar 10%, dan 15% sebesar 10,64% dan 12,79%. Secara keseluruhan, keandalan perkerasan jalan aspal modifikasi polimer HDPE dengan cara basah tidak lebih baik dibandingkan dengan aspal murni. Increased load will cause low road durability. In addition to the increased load, corrosion caused by friction between the vehicle tire and the road will also increase. One of the innovations to improve the quality of asphalt penetration 60/70 is by adding HDPE Polymers. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the characteristics of modified asphalt polymer HDPE with asphalt penetration 60/70. This research is an experiment using HDPE Polymer as an additive with variations in levels of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% of the total weight of the mixture. Each variation was made 3 samples, with a total of 12 test specimens. The specimen uses AC-WC mixture and then tested using the Marshall method for stability, VIM, VMA, VFA, flow, and MQ. Comparison of asphalt modification characteristics of HDPE polymer wet method with asphalt penetration 60/70 is asphalt HDPE reduces the stability value at polymers 5% and 10% by 3.2% and 8.14%, but increase the stability value at 15% levels, and decrease the melt value at the polymer levels 5%, 10%, and 15% by 32.89%, 40 , 85% and 24.93%. HDPE also increased the Marshall Quotient values at 5%, 10%, and 15% polymer content by 43.93%, 52.93% and 60.38%, reducing the VIM value at 5% polymer content by 3.5%, but increase the VIM value at 10% polymer content, and 15% by 51.65% and 61.49%, decrease the VMA value at the polymer content 5 %% by 1.7%, but increase the VMA value at 10%, and 15% content by 10.64% and 12.79%.
