Abstract
ABSTRAK Embung Giwangan terletak di Desa Giwangan, Kecamaatan Umbulharjo, Kota Yogyakarta. Embung Giwangan digunakan sebagai tampungan air pada musim hujan dan digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan irigasi pada saat musim kemarau. Tampungan Embung Giwangan yang terbatas dan kebutuhan air irigasi yang harus tercukupi, maka perlu ada keseimbangan antara keduanya sehingga perlu dilakukan simulasi pola operasi embung. Proses simulasi pola operasi embung selain digunakan untuk mengetahui keseimbangan antara ketersediaan air dan kebutuhan air juga untuk mengetahui tingakat kegagalan operasi embung. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan simulasi dengan pola tanam padi-padi-palawija. Dalam simulasi pola operasi embung digunakan data-data antara lain, data hujan setengah bulanan 3 stasiun hujan (Gemawang, Santan, dan Bedugan) tahun 2011-2018, data klimatologi barongan tahun 2012-2016, luas DAS 7,94 km2, dan luas irigasi 134,8 ha. Metode simulasi pola operasi embung yang digunakan yaitu metode Standard Operating Rule (SOR). Hasil simulasi pola operasi embung menggunakan metode Standard Operating Rule (SOR) menunjukan kesuksesan pada bulan November hingga Maret dan mengalami kegagalan pada bulan April hingga Oktober kecuali periode pertama bulan Mei. Ketersedian air di DAS Embung Giwangan rata-rata adalah 0,18 m3/s, Sedangkan kebutuhan untuk air irigasi rata-rata 0,14 m3/s. Dapat dilihat jika dihitung dengan rata-rata kebutuhan air irigasi telah terpenuhi. Namun dari pebandingan ketersedian air dan kebutuhan air untuk irigasi dengan metode neraca air, pada bulan tertentu kebutuhan air lebih besar dari kertersediaan air. Kata kunci: Ketersediaan Air, Kebutuhan Air, Simulasi, Pola operasi Abstract Giwangan Embung is located in Giwangan Village, Umbulharjo District, Yogyakarta City. Giwangan Embung is used as water storage during the rainy season and is used to meet irrigation needs during the dry season. The storage of the Giwangan Dam is limited and is not sufficient for the need for irrigation water that must be fulfilled. It needs to be a balance between the two so that it is necessary to simulate the operation pattern of the reservoir. The process of simulating the embung operation pattern was not only used to determine the balance between water availability and water demand but also to determine the failure rate of the reservoir operation. In this study, a simulation was carried out with the rice-rice-secondary crop pattern. In the simulation of embung operation patterns, data are used, among others, semi-monthly rainfall data for 3 rain stations (Gemawang, Santan, and Bedugan) in 2011-2018, barongan climatological data for 2012-2016, watershed area of 7.94 km2, and irrigation area. 134.8 ha. The embung operation pattern simulation method used was the Standard Operating Rule (SOR) method. The simulation results of the embung operation pattern using the Standard Operating Rule (SOR) method showed success in November to March and failed in April to October except for the first period of May. The average water availability in the Embung Giwangan watershed was 0.18 m3 / s, while the need for irrigation water is 0.14 m3 / s on average. It can be seen if it was calculated by the average irrigation water needs have been met. However, from the comparison of water availability and water needs for irrigation with the water balance method, in certain months the water demand was greater than the water availability.
