Abstract

ABSTRACT Production-related planning and control are two things that are very much needed in the company, including at CV Astodayagiri Yogyakarta. Production activities at CV Astodayagiri apply the made by order system, namely the production process will be carried out when there is an order by a consumer so that the availability of raw materials determines the implementation of production. The process of ordering or purchasing raw materials will be carried out if there is a shortage of raw materials based on the inventory of raw materials in the warehouse. There are several problems related to the operation of production activities which include errors in planning raw material requirements in a production and human errors, namely the excess and lack of raw materials. This problem increases the burden of production costs and can hinder the process of fulfilling orders from consumers. Therefore, web-based production planning and control information systems are expected to minimize problems. This system was built by applying the Material Requirements Planning method. The results of the research show that the application of the Material Requirements Planning method in the production planning and control information system presents the calculation of time and quantity of raw materials in a timely manner and in the right amount to meet the needs of raw materials in production operations.
