Abstract

Magelang Regency is one of the mainstay areas of the tourism sector in Central Java. One of the tourist objects that is the main purpose of visiting is the Borobudur Temple tour. Apart from Borobudur Temple, there are other tours around the Borobudur area, one of the tours is Balkondes tour. In order to support Balkondes tourism, the Magelang Regency Government has carried out promotions through mass media such as newspapers and pamphlets. However, this method is not sufficient to inform tourism widely to both local and foreign tourists. Therefore, through designing and making a Website-based Geographical Information System (GIS) for Balkondes Borobudur tourism mapping, it is hoped that it can display an overview of the Balkondes Borobudur tourist map in Magelang Regency so that it is more attractive and can help foreign tourists who come to Borobudur or local tourists to find tourist attractions. Balkondes located around Borobudur. The presentation of this information in web form will make it easier for the public to access and buy the desired tickets. In making the geographic information system, it is made using the programming language HTML, PHP, JavaScripts and retrieving data on Google Maps using the Website Design Method (WSDM) and supporting software such as the Xampp server.
