Abstract
Minat merupakan sebuah perwujudan ketertarikan individu dalam suatu hal, salah satunya adalah perwujudan dalam memilih karir kedepannya menjadi seperti apa dan apa yang melatar belakangi seorang individu memilih karir tersebut. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi dalam hal penentuan minat adalah salah pengambilan keputusan yang berpengaruh pada perkembangan karir individu. Sekolah menjadi salah satu tempat dimana kita dapat melihat perkembangan arah minat karir siswa yang dapat ditinjau baik dari segi kognitif ataupun afektif. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat ataupun ditinjau dari tujuan penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan mengenai gambaran minat karir, faktor pemilihan minat karir dan arah minat siswa kelas XII di SMK Muhammadiyah Bandongan. Peneliti dalam hal ini melakukan penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang terdiri atas atas tahap pra lapangan, tahap pekerjaan lapangan, tahap analisis data, tahap evaluasi dan pelaporan. Subjek penelitian dalam hal ini adalah siswa kelas XII dengan sampel 6 siswa yang terdiri atas jurusan TKJ, TKR, dan Farmasi dimana dalam mendapatkan data, peneliti menggunakan metode data primer dan sekunder yang didapat dengan cara observasi dan wawancara serta dianalisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa dari 6 siswa yang memilih minat karir berdasarkan aspek kognitif 5 siswa dan aspek afektif 1 siswa, hal tersebut dipengaruhi atas faktor apa yang telah siswa pelajari disekolah dan dirumah, serta orientasi karir kedepannya siswa memilih kuliah dan bekerja atas dasar pemanfaatan dan pengembangan skill yang didapat di SMK. Dapat disimpulkan dari hal tersebut bahwa aspek kognitif dan aspek afektif berperan penting dalam proses pemilihan minat karir. Aspek kognitif dan aspek afektif juga berperan penting dalam orientasi karir siswa ketika lulus dari SMK. Gambaran minat karir siswa tersebut sudah cukup baik dengan mempertimbangkan aspek kognitif dan afektif siswa. Dari hasil penelitian tesebut juga didapatkan hasil bahwa orientasi minat karir siswa ke arah kuliah dan bekerja sejumlah 1 siswa memilih kuliah dan 5 siswa memilih bekerja terlebih dahulu kemudian baru meneruskan ke perguruan tinggi. Kata kunci: Minat Karir, Siswa, Gambaran Karir. Interest is a manifestation of individual interest in something, one of which is the manifestation of choosing a career in the future to be like and what is the background for an individual to choose that career. The problem that often occurs in determining interest is the wrong decision making that affects individual career development. School is one of the places where we can see the development of the direction of student career interests that can be viewed both from a cognitive or affective perspective. This can be seen or viewed from the purpose of this study which is to describe the description of career interest, career interest selection factors and the direction of interest of class XII students at SMK Muhammadiyah Bandongan. Researchers in this case conducted research with a qualitative approach consisting of the pre-field stage, the fieldwork stage, the data analysis stage, the evaluation and reporting stages. The research subjects in this case were students of class XII with a sample of 6 students consisting of TKJ, TKR, and Pharmacy majors. In obtaining data, researchers used primary and secondary data methods obtained by observation and interviews and analyzed by qualitative descriptive. The results of this study reveal that out of 6 students who choose career interests based on cognitive aspects of 5 students and affective aspects of 1 student, this is influenced by what factors students have learned at school and at home, as well as future career orientation students choose to study and work on the basis of utilization and development of skills obtained at SMK. It can be concluded from this that cognitive and affective aspects play an important role in the process of choosing career interests. Cognitive and affective aspects also play an important role in student career orientation when graduating from SMK. The description of the student's career interest is good enough by considering the cognitive and affective aspects of the student. From the research results, it was also found that the orientation of students' career interest towards studying and working was one student choosing to study and 5 students choosing to work first and then continuing to college.
