Abstract

ABSTRACT Clothing is a basic need that is in great demand by adolescents and adults alike. Not infrequently people who buy clothes will see in terms of color models. However, people with color blindness will find it difficult to distinguish between these colors. Color blindness is an eye disorder caused by the inability of the eye cone cells to perceive a certain color spectrum due to genesis. In this study the authors tried to apply pattern recognition to predict the color of clothes using the Learning Vector Quantization method, this method runs based on the weighting that is entered as training data so that the machine learns and can classify the entered test data, the data to be trained and tested is in the form of a shirt image for identify the color of the shirt. The system is expected to be able to recognize the color of the clothes contained in the image. Keywords: Clothing Color, Color-vision Deficiency, Learning Vector Quantization
