Abstract
ABSTRACT The level of turbidity and acidity of the pH of the water for ornamental fish in the aquarium must always be maintained because the impact of cloudy water and pH levels that are not in accordance with the life of the fish can cause disruption of the physical development of the fish and even death. The same thing also happens in freshwater fish farming. Therefore, it is necessary to build a system that is able to detect turbidity of water in freshwater fish aquariums automatically. The system built uses a turbidity sensor as a water turbidity sensor and a pH sensor as a sensor for acidity levels in the water, while the monitoring process uses a 16x2 LCD to display data and an ultrasonic sensor functions as a measure of the water level in the aquarium during the filling process. This tool is also equipped with a control system that is automatic and manual. Under conditions that have been determined, the pH sensor and turbidity sensor will carry out a process that will be accepted by the Arduino and turn on the buzzer indicating that the water conditions in the aquarium are cloudy and therefore the draining process is carried out automatically and the filling is also automatically done. For the manual control system there is a pushbutton that functions as a drain button and a fill button and this system does not have to reach the limit that the aquarium owner can drain and fill the water in the aquarium at the same time.
