Abstract
DESIGNING AND BUILDING E-COMMERCE APPLICATIONS USING THE LARAVEL FRAMEWORK (Case Study : Tulip Living And Home Decor) ABSTRACT Tulip Living And Home Decor is a housing industry that is engaged in home decoration knick-knacks, where the decorations produced by tulip living and home decor are in the form of wall hangings, tables, chairs, shelves, clothes and other knick-knacks made of rattan and bamboo so that the room will look more natural and attractive to look at. The home decoration industry, which is located in the city of Yogyakarta, has only been established for about 2 years by Mr. Faraj Ahmad Mahfud. In practice, so far Tulip living and home decor has carried out the buying and selling process only through social media such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and often offline, where buyers come directly to the store. Buyers can view products from tulip living and home decor through their Instagram social media accounts, while the Transaction Process carried out at tulip living and home decor currently only uses social media whatsapp to confirm payments. With Whatsapp and Instagram social media being used as a means of buying and selling and promotional media, the sales process and transaction process is slow and it is considered less effective by buyers and Tulip Living And Home Decor parties. This research designs a web-based e-commerce system using CSS, PHP, HTML, and JavaScript programming languages that implements the Laravel Framework, RajaOngkir API, and uses a MySQL database. For the transaction feature, this system will use the Midtrans payment gateway, with this feature the transaction process can be carried out quickly and in a short time It makes it easier for buyers to process product payments. Products that have been verified for payment can be sent directly to the buyer. This research produces an e-commerce web system that is implemented with the Laravel Framework and it uses the payment gateway midtrans as an electronic payment service provider to verify payments automatically.
