Abstract

Pembangunan dibidang struktur saat ini mengalami kemajuan yang demikian pesat. Hal tersebut mengharuskan membuat bahan lain yang dapat membantu dalam efisiensi penggunaan bahan untuk pembuatan beton mutu tinggi. Penggunaan bahan limbah sebagai material pembentuk beton memberikan dampak positif. Bahan tambah yang digunakan adalah limbah serat pati onggok, karena serat alami mudah diperoleh, murah, dapat meningkatkan karakteristik dari beton serta tidak membutuhkan banyak energi dalam proses pengolahannya. Serat dalam beton akan berpengaruh terhadap tekanan. Sedangkan dari limbah abu batu bara (fly ash) memiliki sifat fisik dan sifat kimiawi yang mirip dengan sifat semen. Fly ash mempunyai komposisi berupa silica dan alumina dengan presentase mencapai 80%. Fly ash sebegai material pengganti untuk mengurangi jumlah semen yang nantinya akan digunakan untuk pembuatan beton mutu tinggi. Pada penelitian ini mencoba membuat variasi limbah serat pati onggok sebesar 1%, 2%, 3%, dan limbah abu batu bara (fly ash) yang memiliki kesamaan unsur dengan komposisi semen. Sedangkan dari Penambahan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan limbah serat pati onggok dan fly ash terhadap kuat lentur beton. Pembuatan benda uji dilakukan di Batching Plant PT. Merak Jaya Beton Yogyakarta dan pengujian kuat tekan beton dilakukan di Laboratorium Batching Plant PT. Aneka Dharma Persada Yogyakarta setelah perendaman selama 28 hari. Dari hasil uji nilai slump pembuatan benda uji balok penambahan limbah serat pati onggok 1%, 2%, dan 3% memperoleh slump dibawah 10 cm, sesuai dengan persyaratan. Berdasarkan pengujian kuat lentur balok beton normal memiliki nilai kuat lentur rata-rata sebesar 4,98 MPa, Pada beton limbah serat pati onggok 1%, 2%, dan 3% dan fly ash 15% secara berurutan memiliki kuat lentur rata-rata sebesar 5,38 MPa, 5,24 MPa, dan 4,49 MPa. Kadar penambahan yang paling optimal adalah pada bahan limbah serat pati onggok 1% dan fly ash 15% dengan diperoleh kuat lentur sebesar 5,38 MPa. This requires the manufacture of other materials that can help in the efficient use of materials for the manufacture of high-strength concrete. The use of waste materials as a concrete-forming material has a positive impact. The added material used is starch fiber waste because natural fibers are easy to obtain, inexpensive, can improve the characteristics of concrete, and do not require a lot of energy in the processing process. Fibers in concrete will affect the pressure. Meanwhile, coal ash waste (fly ash) has physical and chemical properties similar to those of cement. Fly ash has a composition of silica and alumina with a percentage of up to 80%. Fly ash as a substitute material to reduce the amount of cement which will later be used for the manufacture of high-strength concrete. In this study, the authors tried to make variations of onggok starch fiber waste by 1%, 2%, 3%, from coal ash waste (fly ash) which has the same elements as the cement composition. This addition aims to determine the effect of adding waste starch fiber and fly ash to the flexural strength of concrete. The manufacture of test objects is carried out at the Batching Plant of PT. Merak Jaya Beton Yogyakarta and the compressive strength testing of concrete was carried out at the Batching Plant Laboratory of PT. Aneka Dharma Persada Yogyakarta after soaking for 28 days. From the test results, the slump value of making beam specimens with the addition of 1%, 2%, and 3% starch fiber waste obtained a slump below 10 cm, in accordance with the requirements. Based on the flexural strength test, normal concrete beams have an average flexural strength value of 4.98 MPa, 1%, 2%, and 3% waste starch fiber concrete and 15% fly ash respectively have an average flexural strength of 5 .38 MPa, 5.24 MPa, and 4.49 MPa. The most optimal level of addition is in the waste material of 1% onggok starch fiber and 15% fly ash with a flexural strength of 5.38 MPa obtained.
