Abstract

The collaborative writing in this research role as the technique in writing narrative text to make students enthusiastic and work together in pouring the idea of the text. This research aims to describe the students’ steps in testing writing narrative text and to figure out students’ achievement in testing writing narrative text through collaborative writing technique. This research design is mix method. The participants of this research were 35 people with 25 females and 10 males of eleventh grade students of MIPA 4 at SMA Negeri 1 Jogonalan, Klaten. In collecting data, this research used an observation and a test. The research showed 6 students’ steps in testing writing narrative text through collaborative writing technique and students’ achievement in testing writing narrative text could be categorized in the level of achievement as sufficient because the mean score is 80. Meanwhile, it showed that 21 respondents (60%) out of 35 respondents were successful in narrative text writing. On the other hand, there were 14 respondents (40%) out of 35 respondents who failed in learning narrative text writing. For further research, it is suggested to develop students’ activeness and creativity using collaborative writing technique focus on story writing. Menulis kolaboratif dalam penelitian ini berperan sebagai teknik dalam menulis teks naratif untuk membuat siswa antusias dan bekerja sama dalam menuangkan ide dari teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah siswa dalam tes menulis teks naratif dan untuk mengetahui prestasi siswa dalam tes menulis teks naratif melalui teknik menulis kolaboratif. Desain penelitian ini adalah metode campuran. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 35 orang siswa kelas XI MIPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Jogonalan Klaten sebanyak 25 orang siswa perempuan dan 10 orang laki-laki. Dalam pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 6 langkah siswa dalam tes menulis teks naratif melalui teknik penulisan kolaboratif dan prestasi siswa dalam tes menulis teks naratif dapat dikategorikan dalam tingkat pencapaian cukup karena nilai rata-ratanya adalah 80. Sementara itu, menunjukkan bahwa 21 responden (60%) dari 35 responden berhasil dalam menulis teks naratif. Sedangkan, dari 35 responden terdapat 14 responden (40%) yang gagal dalam pembelajaran menulis teks naratif. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, disarankan untuk mengembangkan keaktifan dan kreativitas siswa dengan menggunakan teknik penulisan kolaboratif fokus pada penulisan cerita.
